Gallery: Return to the cockpit
Those of you who know me have seen these photos before, but every year or so I return to them. This was a special day from when I was researching and writing Black Tulip, unsure if anyone would publish it—or, for that matter, if I’d ever finish the manuscript. The generosity of a curator and the enthusiasm of a gaggle of docents kept me going.
